Job Overview:
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is offering an exciting Internship Program for 2025, providing students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of road safety, vehicle standards, and transportation policy. The program is designed to give interns a comprehensive understanding of DVSA’s role in ensuring road safety and compliance across the UK. Interns will have the opportunity to work with various teams and departments, including Vehicle Standards, Compliance and Enforcement, Customer Service, Communications, IT, and Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in various departmental tasks such as data collection, analysis, and reporting to support road safety and compliance initiatives.
- Work on projects related to vehicle standards, including research, policy analysis, and drafting of documents.
- Support the Compliance and Enforcement team in monitoring roadworthiness, driver conduct, and vehicle standards.
- Help with digital transformation initiatives, including software development, user experience research, and IT support.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to provide information and resolve inquiries related to DVSA services.
- Contribute to communications and marketing campaigns aimed at promoting road safety and DVSA services.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions, contributing ideas for improving processes and service delivery.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program or a recent graduate, preferably in fields such as Public Administration, Transportation, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Communications, or related disciplines.
- A strong academic record and a keen interest in road safety, transportation policy, and public service.
- Authorization to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
- Available to commit to a full-time or part-time schedule for the internship period.
