Position Purpose

The Fife College Internship Program provides graduate students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive educational environment. The program is designed to help interns apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhance their professional skills, and explore potential career paths within the education sector or other related fields.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist faculty and staff in the planning, development, and delivery of educational programs and workshops.
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, research, report writing, and project management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to contribute to marketing, communications, and outreach initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support college-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Provide support in organizing events, seminars, and student engagement activities.
  • Offer assistance in student services, including advising, tutoring, and mentorship programs.

Education, Experience, and Skills

Education:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, IT, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a college or university setting, or a similar educational environment, is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience with project management, event planning, research, or administrative tasks is beneficial.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
