Job Description:
As an intern with the Conservative Party, you will have the chance to work closely with party officials, elected representatives, and campaign teams to support various initiatives and projects. This program provides a unique opportunity to learn about the inner workings of politics and gain valuable skills and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with research and analysis on policy issues and political developments.
- Support constituency offices and campaign teams with administrative tasks and event coordination.
- Draft communications materials, including press releases, speeches, and social media content.
- Participate in meetings, briefings, and events with party officials and stakeholders.
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities with members of the public and party supporters.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related fields.
- Strong interest in politics, public policy, and current affairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to conservative principles and values.
Experience:
- Previous experience in political campaigning, public affairs, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Involvement in student politics, community organizations, or volunteer work is advantageous.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
