Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) Internship, one of the UK’s largest train operating companies, is offering an exciting Internship Trainee Program for undergraduate students in 2024. This program aims to provide students with practical experience and in-depth knowledge of the railway industry. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop essential skills, and gain exposure to various functions within the company.
Responsibilities
As an intern at GTR, you will rotate through different departments, providing you with a broad understanding of the railway industry. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the daily operations of your assigned department, such as Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, HR, or Marketing.
- Supporting projects that focus on improving the customer experience, operational efficiency, or safety standards.
- Conducting data analysis and research to support business strategies and decision-making.
- Engaging in process improvement initiatives and contributing innovative ideas.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on key business objectives.
- Participating in training sessions and workshops to develop both technical and soft skills.
- Presenting findings, project outcomes, and suggestions to senior management.

Requirements
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program (preferably in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field).
- A minimum predicted grade of 2:1 or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
- Availability to work full-time for 12 months starting in Summer 2024.
